Will my vehicle still be charged when I need it?
Yes. Your charging preferences and departure times remain the top priority. SRP EV Smart Charge is designed to have your vehicle ready by the schedule you provide.
Plugging in more often simply gives us more flexibility to intelligently manage charging while still meeting your needs.
Why does plugging in everyday help?
When a vehicle is plugged in for longer periods, SRP EV Smart Charge has more opportunities to determine the best times to charge.
Think of it this way: if your vehicle is only plugged in for a few hours, charging options are limited. If it is plugged in overnight and whenever you're home, SRP EV Smart Charge has many more opportunities to charge your vehicle while balancing grid needs and ensuring your vehicle is ready when you need it.
Do I need to charge my vehicle every day?
Not necessarily. Even if your battery doesn't need much energy, we encourage you to plug in whenever you arrive home.
Being plugged in does not mean your vehicle will charge immediately. It simply allows SRP EV Smart Charge to manage charging more effectively when charging is needed.
Will plugging in every day increase my electricity usage?
No. Plugging in every day does not mean you are using more energy.
Your vehicle will only consume the energy needed to replace the miles you have driven and maintain normal vehicle functions. Plugging in more often simply provides more grid flexibility regarding when charging occurs.
Will plugging in every day increase my electric bill?
Your electric bill is primarily driven by how much energy your vehicle consumes, not how often you plug it in.
Charging more frequently does not automatically increase the amount of electricity your vehicle uses.
Will SRP EV Smart Charge charge my vehicle more often than necessary?
No. SRP EV Smart Charge does not charge your vehicle unnecessarily. The program is designed to meet your transportation needs while optimizing charging times.
What if my plans change unexpectedly?
You're in control of your charging schedule. You can always override smart schedules and charge immediately by replying “CHARGE NOW” to any charging plan SMS or push notification that you receive from WeaveGrid.
You can also customize your automatic smart charge settings from your WeaveGrid dashboard, or override your schedule directly from your charger or vehicle console.
SRP EV Smart Charge is designed to adapt when your schedule changes.
What happens if I forget to plug in?
Your participation in the program is not affected. However, when your vehicle is not plugged in, SRP EV Smart Charge has fewer opportunities to manage charging and deliver the full benefits of the program.

Does plugging in every day affect my battery?
Modern electric vehicles are designed to be plugged in regularly. Following your vehicle manufacturer's charging recommendations remains the best practice.
SRP EV Smart Charge manages when charging occurs, not the battery health settings recommended by your vehicle manufacturer.
